There are three fundamental joys to art journalling: imagining what the page will be about before you start (What made me smile today? What inspired me today?); the actual process of creating the page (Shutting off the left brain and fully engaging with the right brain); and then the ability to look back at your pages at some distant point in the future (What made me smile in July 2009?)
There are many things that I love about working in my tiny, tiny, tiny shetchbook: the low cost (Under $10); portability (It could almost fit into a pocket) and the ability to create a page-a-day in minimal time (Usually less than one hour)
One of these days I really need to work "bigger" (but it will cost more; take more time and I won't be able to do it anywhere...anytime)
Yesterday I decided to start working my way through the EDM Challenge List and I started with The Green Beaver toothpaste
I then headed over to Wallack's to pick up my "Seat With A Bag" for our road trip in August
Today I am wanting to play with pastels after perusing through Sally Strand's website yesterday......

Nice to have you back. This is a great page!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice chair!! And I am amazed that it is relatively cheap! I saw a 'walking chair' that was $68, and it was only a simple tripod, no storage! That will be so fun to use on a road trip! Do hope you have loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteExcellent page. I love the writing around the page too.
